Estimator

The Estimator is a critical position within C.A. Walker Construction. Estimators are responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we are well-informed to all information needed to successfully bid and win a project. Estimators must actively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received accurately and in good time. Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business. 

Project Manager

Project Managers control the time, cost and quality of projects, from ground-up developments to individual tenant build-outs. They plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors. A single manager might oversee an entire construction project, or multiple managers might oversee specific aspects of a larger project.

Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager works for the C.A. Walker Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Field Staff and Executive Staff to assist in the following: acts as a liaison with Owners, Architects, Engineering and Tenants regarding project feasibility, cost, scheduling, completion, and close-out for multiple private and public construction projects. This position is also responsible for design development participation, pre-construction, construction and tenant coordination. The APM will also maintain constant and effective communications with team members, internal/external customers and vendors. 

Internship

C.A. Walker Construction offers internships for current students, as well as recent graduates who have Business, Architectural, Construction Management or Engineering backgrounds and are interested in real world experience in Houston's booming commercial construction industry.
